Here at MDS we are all about serving our community by focusing on supporting the vulnerable cohort of those living with disabilities to become active members of the community.

In Australia, we have 1 in 6 people living with a disability, this makes up 18% of people in our communities that require some support to assist with different aspects of their daily life.

We provide participants with access to accessible accommodation that’s suited to their needs and supports their day to day independent living. A housing solution that promotes your independence.

Supported Independent Living

24 Hour Care

We offer Supported Independent Living supports that provide participants with access to 24 hour in home care where they can choose to engage in as little or as much support as they would like.

Short-term Accommodation

Respite Care

We offer support to carers and family members of those living with disabilities so they can take a well rested break from their caring duties and have peace of mind that their loved ones are in safe hands.

Forensic Disability Support

At Melbourne Disability Services, we offer tailored support for individuals with disabilities involved in the criminal justice system. We work closely with individuals, families, carers, legal professionals, and the justice system to promote rehabilitation, quality of life, and community inclusion.

Hospital to Home

At Melbourne Disability Services, we understand that transitioning from hospital to home can be challenging, especially for individuals with disabilities. Our Hospital Discharge Program is designed to support NDIS participants during this critical time, ensuring a smooth and safe return to their home, one of our SDA or SIL homes, or another community setting.

Palliative Care

Supporting people with in-home personal care activities such as showering, toileting, cooking, cleaning etc. We offer assistance in arranging and setting up your personal care supports with dedicated 1:1.

We support our participants to access the community and become socially active. We engage in a range of fun activities that promote capacity building and encourage participants to achieve their goals.
